Executives
Executives play a vital role in the success of Symposium. As an executive, you will be called on to share your knowledge and experiences with some of the brightest business students in the country. You will either be working alongside a group of students during collaborative case immersions or speak to between 15-30 students in panel discussion format. Then, you will have the opportunity to network with all participating seniors. You might also speak to fewer than 20 selected students in a roundtable discussion format designed for our seniors. These intimate settings provide students with an opportunity to learn more about the various facets of business. By sharing your experience and expertise with Kenan-Flagler students, you will contribute to the development of future business leaders and make a truly meaningful impact.
Registration
Symposium 2009 will be occurring on September 25, 2009.
Student Tracks
There are two separate tracks offered this year. Your assignment to the junior track entails panel discussions to be determined by your area of expertise. Panel sessions will last 45 minutes each. Your assignment to the senior track of collaborative case immersions will depend on your experience in consulting, finance, or marketing, as well as your selection on the registration form. This more extensive track will last approximately 2.5 hours. Regardless of your track, you will be given the opportunity to network with all senior participants for 45 minutes. You may view the Event Schedule link for further information regarding the agenda. Members of the Kenan-Flagler faculty will serve as moderators throughout discussions, handling introductions and facilitating questions from students.
Executive Dinner and Breakfast
As a part of Symposium 2009, we encourage you to attend the Executive Reception and Dinner— held at the Carolina Inn — on Thursday, September 24, the night before the event. We also invite you to attend the Executive Breakfast on the morning of the event, held at the R. Charles Loudermilk Foyer in the McColl Building.
